Justin Jackson, known professionally as Memphis Magic, is a Washington, D.C.-based producer and multi-instrumentalist whose genre-blurring sound pays tribute to the rich musical roots of his hometown, Memphis. Raised on gospel and R&B, Justin draws equal inspiration from video game soundtracks, Japanese television, and sci-fi cinema—crafting what he calls “a symphonic blend of hip-hop, soul, and cinematic nostalgia.” A classically trained violinist and lifelong beatmaker, his influences include The Neptunes, J Dilla, Nujabes, and Ryuichi Sakamoto.
